If you had a crystal ball, one that is uncannily accurate right down to the last unforgiving detail, would you use it?
Would you like to find out that tomorrow you're going to be asked out to lunch by a certain someone whom you'd like to impress only to have something stuck in your teeth for the rest of the day?
Are you the kind of person who would want to know what is about to happen before it does? Or the kind who would prefer to live in blissful oblivion? Ahh... even that sentence is coated with my preference.
I would be tempted sorely to look into my future. But it might end up being too depressing. If i find it to be unsatisfactory, i'll run myself into a nervous wreck trying to avoid the prophecy, which would then make it a self-fulfilling one.
So there. In theory, i'd much rather not find out what's about to happen to me before it does. Especially with regards to matters like death. *Creepy* However, in real life, that could be an entirely different matter. I might be too curious to resist temptation.
And everybody knows i don't have enough mental mettle to resist temptations. Curiosity killed the cat.
